Mertenhof Farm

Working Farm since 1830

About Us

Mertenhof farm has been in the Lubbe family for 8 generations and remains fully operational today. We farm with sheep, cattle, and citrus. In 2000, Barry and Mariette Lubbe transformed an old farmhouse into guest accomodation. They opened their home to visitors which ignited their passion for tourism. Our farm is located in the heart of the Biedouw Valley where guests can explore stunning landscapes, discover local attractions, and immerse themselves in the vibrant heritage of our region.
